Ytterbium Fluoride is a water insoluble Ytterbium source for use in oxygen-sensitive applications, such as metal production.

Fluoride is widely used in laboratory reagents, optical fiber doping, laser materials, fluorspar light-emitting materials, optical fiber, optical coating materials, and electronic materials.
